I made these dragon Flies for my twin sister’s baby shower. You will need green wire (in the crafts/flowers aisle). White wire, tissue paper, colored cotton balls, google eyes, and different colored pipe cleaners, and hot glue sticks. The first thing you need to do is fold the green wire in half, make sure it is even at the bottom and stays folded. Then you need to fold 4 white wires, but run your two fingers apart up the white wire (from the inside) to shape it as a Dragon fly's wing.
After you have shaped the wings tie each one on the green wires, to secure the wings you will need to glue them down with a hot glue gun, (on both side on the green wire). The next step is tricky, you will need to take tissue paper and cut it small enough to wrap around the white wire. Tape the tissue paper down, then at the top of the tissue cut it in the shape of the white wire; do not pull the tissue paper tightly. You want it to keep the shape of the wing.
If the end of the tissue paper is loose, where the green wire is, you may need to put a little bit of hot glue on it. Take a green, or any color you want and twist it loosely around the green wire, be careful not to ripe the tissue paper when you go around the wings. Cut off if there is any extra pipe cleaner left at the bottom of the wire. Take a colored cotton ball and glue it at the top of the green wire. Then take another pipe cleaner and cut into in half then cut that half in half. Twist the pipe cleaners to give the dragon flies antennas. Glue them on the back of the colored cotton ball. Then glue the google eyes on the front of the dragon flies. Be sure to let each time you glue down something, to let it dry fully, if not the hot glue can mess up the wings.
